World water day on 22nd March 2017

Today March 22nd is the World water day.The World Water Day is held to urge people to tackle the global water crisis.Still today in the world 1.8 billion people’s drinking contaminated water. In India 63 million  people do not have access to clean water .Dirty drinking water puts peoples life at risk with many diseases.

This is the 24th year World Water Day as a part of global mission to get safer water for everybody.The United Nations General Assembly decided in 1993,March 22 would be the 1st World Water Day. The United Nations organisation sets a theme for every year.And this year  theme is "waste water", is about to reduce and reusing waste water. UN’s Goal is to make sure everybody has to get safe water by 2030.

On the occasion of World Water Day March,22nd, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged every body to save every drop of water and also praised the UN for choosing 'waste water' as this years theme.
