Germany’s state-owned development bank KfW, in February by mistakenly transferred 5.4 billion euros to four other banks. It's happend because of a technical glitch,repeated single payments multiple times.
KfW said that, on the same day the error had been spotted and corrected also.And the money sent by mistakenly had been paid back immediately by the other four banks.KfW bank immediately launched an extensive review, in order to understand the causes in detail to draw the necessary conclusions from it. This incident serves as a reminder which happend in 2008 year of more than 300 million euros sent to Lehman Brothers.
