Today Iran released 15 fishermen of Tamil nadu who had strayed into the central Asian nation's waters, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said.
These 15 fishermen working in Bahrain were held last year on 22nd October. For straying into the country's waters around 37 of fishermen are currently in the custody of the Iranian government.
"I am happy to inform that Iran has released our 15 fishermen of Tamil Nadu. They were detained with their 3 Bahraini boats," Sushma Swaraj said in a tweet.
