Tysen Benz a 11-Year old boy from Michigan, when he saw a social media post indicating that his 13-year-old girlfriend had committed suicide. He died at a Detroit-area hospital after attempting to kill himself three weeks prior.The posts were a prank, but the young boy apparently believed them.
Boys mother Katrina Goss said that, her son was found hanging by the neck in the room after seeing social media posts and texts that his girlfriend killed herself. She also said her son was “pranked” and “manipulated” by the girl and some friends. Goss said her son as appearing "fine" just before 40 minutes she found him.
The Marquette Police Department confirmed an investigation is underway and would not release the juvenile age or comment on relationship had with the boy.
